Today, Lenovo announced its first Intel-powered smartphone – the Lenovo LePhone K800.
The device is pretty cool, sporting a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor under the hood (along with a 400MHz GPU), as well as a 4.5-inch IPS display and packed with a 1GB of RAM.
The handset packs Intel Hyper Threading technology inside, for fast switching between applications, as well as Intel’s XMM 6260 platform that can offer support for HSPA+ 21Mbs networks.
Other specifications include an 8 megapixel camera for photos and video plus a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera, the device also comes with 16GB of built in storage and WiFi.
The problem, however, is that it still runs Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread rather than Ice Cream Sandwich, though we’re sure the update is in works as we speak.
The smartphone features a price tag of around RMB 3,300 ($525 / €425) and it will be sold through Lenovo’s official website, 360Buy.com, selected Suning & GOME stores and through Lenovo retail stores.
