From the mind of Belgium-based designer David Cardoso Loureiro comes one person electric 3 wheeled amphibious vehicle aptly called the Manta.

The concept, which seems to be inspired by Rinspeed’s Squba concept car, is a three-wheeled vehicle can transform into a boat at the touch of a button, allowing its owner to use it on the water as well.

In both the modes the concept vehicle is powered by an electric engine. The vehicle’s onboard battery pack propels the set of rear wheels, ensuring a zero-emission commute on land and water.

While the Rinspeed Squba has a set of propellers that powered the car in water, the Manta concept does away with additional propellers by using wheels that can rotate at a 90 degree angle when the vehicle is floating

Despite its futuristic look, Loureiro claims that the Manta Concept will be have a low cost due to its relatively simple design.
