US Cellular launches two new Motorola Android smartphones, the ELECTRIFY 2 and DEFY XT.
The former is a slim, sleek handset running Android 4.0 with MOTO’s SMARTACTIONS app intended to automate routine, everyday tasks, while the DEFY XT is a durable Android 2.3 smartphone ideal for users to active liftstyle.
The ELECTRIFY 2, like the RAZR series, is made with Kevlar material and has an invisible splash-guard coating to protect from spills.
With a slim 8.4mm design, it is boosted bya a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of system memory.
The handset is global-ready supporting CDMA/EVDO Rev A 850/1900, UMTS 900/2100 3G and quad-band GSM/EDGE mobile network.
You can find a 4.3-inch qHD ColorBoost touchscreen display, a 8 Megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and Full HD video recording, a VGA front-facing camera, 8GB internal storage and a microSD/SDHC card slot.
It supports AGPS/GPS, Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity.
The DEFY XT is a rugged smartphone that is waterproof and dustproof, and comes with a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass display.
While the Chinese and Taiwan version of the XT supports GSM and HSDPA networks, US Cellular’s edition supports CDMA 1900/800 EVDO 3G networks.
It features a 3.7-inch touchscreenm a 5 Megapixel camera, a front VGA camera, Bluetooth, DLAN, GPS/AGPS, WiFi and microSD slot.
The phone is powered by a 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM and 1GB of ROM.
The ELECTRIFY 2 and DEFY XT are available for $180 and $100, respectively, after $100 mail-in rebate.
