Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S Android 2.3 Smartphone

Sony Ericsson announced its Xperia arc S, an enhanced version of the Xperia arc, upgrades to a faster 1.4GHz Snapdragon processor featuring 25% faster camera start up and media conversion, along with 20% faster web page rendering compared to Xperia arc.

The phone comes with a 4.2-inch 854×480 Reality display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and a 8.1 Megapixel caemra with Exmor R for mobile image sensor. It includes the 3D and 2D sweep panorama photography.

Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S will run on Android 2.3.4 Gingebread out of the box and also supports GPS/aGPS, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.

The phone has 512MB RAM and 1GB internal storage but there is only 320MB free memory for user but has a microSD/SDHC card slot for expansion though.

The arc S comes with a really powerful camera offering auto focus, face detection, 720p HD video recording, image stabilizer, smile detection.

The arc S is also the first phone to support Sony’s Qriocity-linked services. Music Unlimited brings it the same streaming options as on the PS3 and computers.

The Xperia arc S supports quad-band GSM and quad-band UMTS/HSPA networks and will be available in Q4 in Pure White, Midnght blue, Misty Silver, Gloss Black and Sakura Pink.
