Toshiba adds to its hard drive line the new DT01ACA Series 3.5-inch desktop hard drive targeted at PCs NAS, external hard drives and consumer electronics products such as settop boxes and DVRs.
The new 3.5-inch HDD uses SATA III 6Gbps interface and features 7200RPM rotational speed.
Using1 TB-per-platter technology, the DT01ACA series comes in 500GB, 1TB, 2TB and 3TB capacities.
The 500GB and 1TB models come with 32MB buffer memory while the other two models have 64MB.
Toshiba’s new hard drive also feature Advanced Sector Format technology, which utilizes the industry standard 4K byte-per-sector configuration and improved error-correcting code functionality to enhance data integrity while making more efficient use of the storage surface area.
Toshiba will ship the DT01ACA series this month.
